Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 26, 1932 to the late Gordon & Ruth Spradley Bennett in Lanier County, GA. He served in the United States Army and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Bennett worked with Cauley's Meat Company. He was preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Goldie Mae Kitchins & Mamie Smith, Brother, Herbert "Sonny Boy" Bennett and Son-in-law, Brook Hightower.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Lovejoy Cemetery.
