Of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday evening, November 1, 2011 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born January 23, 1939 in Lanier County to Vernie Etheridge Branch and Elsie Conine Branch. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea. A member of and Past President of The Lanier County Lions Club. A faithful member of Lakeland Lodge 434 and Cassea Lodge 224 in Homerville, GA. He was retired from the State of Georgia, Department of Motor Vehicle Safety Division Branch. He was also a member of the Lakeland Seventh Day Adventist. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candice, a brother, Charles, a brother-in-law, Benny Clements, and his father, Etheridge.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Interment will follow in Fender Cemetery in Lanier County with Masonic Graveside Service conducted by Joseph Maine. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
