Mrs. Hunter was born in Berrien County on September 16th, 1915 to the late Willie W. and Viola Mathis Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Hunter, a Sister, Mary Nell Bland and a Brother, George W. Wood. She was a Homemaker and member of Unity United Methodist Church of Lakeland.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter in-law, Billy and Shirley Hunter, Kennesaw, GA., Son and Daughter in-law Franklin and Sue Hunter, Lakeland, GA., Son and Daughter in-law Carroll and Debbie Hunter, Jasper, GA., Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Sister, Helen Clements, Ray City, GA, Sister, Velma Jefferson, Ray City, GA, Sister in-law, Pat Wood, Nashville, GA.
Funeral services were held 11:00 AM on Friday, June 9th in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services, with Rev. Tony Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Fender Cemetery on River Road in Lanier County, GA.
