William H. Altman – 78
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on April 8, 1939 in McAplin, FL to Lazarus & Bessie (Bryant) Altman. He retired from the United States Army after over 20 years of service. He went on 2 tours in Vietnam. He also retired from Valdosta Wrecking. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Altman Mays, sisters, Betty Cambridge, Viola Humphreys, Louise Gray, Nora Henderson and brothers, J. L. Altman, J. T. Altman.
Survivors include his Wife of 35 years, Diane Altman of Valdosta, GA; Daughters, Patricia Altman of Jesup, GA, Christine Mansfield of Jesup, GA, Denise Messer of Jacksonville, FL; Son, Michael Altman of Oklahoma City, OK; Daughters, Brittney Altman (Christopher Lloyd) of Valdosta, GA, Tiffany Altman (Jessie Cathey) of Valdosta, GA, Kayla Altman of Valdosta, GA; Step Daughter, Lucille Wilkerson of Jesup, GA; Sister, Alice McClelland of Zolfo Springs, Florida and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 16, 2017 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
