William “Billy” H. Fleetwood III, of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was 63.
Billy was born on March 10, 1962, at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland, and was the beloved son of the late Sheila M. Fleetwood and William “Bill” H. Fleetwood, Jr.
A 1980 graduate of Easton High School, Billy built a life defined by hard work, independence, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He successfully owned and operated Fleetwood Heating and Air, Inc. in Cordova, Maryland, for approximately 25 years, earning the respect of customers and colleagues through his dedication, skill, and integrity.
Beyond his professional life, Billy had a lifelong passion for raising Angus beef cattle. This passion eventually led him to Medina, North Dakota, where he operated Goose Lake Ranch, continuing to raise and crossbreed Angus cattle. In his later years, Billy retired to Lake Park, Georgia, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, meticulously tending to his yard, soaking up the sun by the pool, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially baseball.
Billy was a devoted father and proud grandfather who cherished time with his family. He is survived by his father, William “Bill” H. Fleetwood, Jr. of Greenwood, Delaware; his sister, Candy Vaughn of Greenwood, Delaware; his children, Brittne Peranio (Vince) of Marydel, Maryland, William “Cody” Fleetwood IV of Easton, Maryland, and Bailey Fleetwood of Lake Park, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Coral Peranio, Remi Fleetwood, Jax Fleetwood, and Kane Fleetwood.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila M. Fleetwood.
Billy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the land, his independent spirit, and the quiet pride he took in the life he built and the family he loved. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
