William “Bill” Brantley Royals, age 94, passed away, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Crestwood Nursing Home after an illness. Bill was born May 3, 1927, in Pearson, Georgia to the late Annie Eliza Woods and Willie Anderson Royals. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, loved the military, singing and reading. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Brantley Royals, Jr., three brothers, James Royals, Clifford Royals, Joseph “Dody” Royals; two sisters, Magalean R. Watts and Willie Mae R. Bass.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Bernice Hall Royals of Lakeland, Georgia; daughters, Phyllis R. Myers and husband Tony of Lenox, Georgia, Alice R. Guess and husband Gregg of Adel, Georgia, Connie R. May and husband Greg of Nashville, Georgia, Richard F. Phillips of Lakeland, Georgia, Julia R. Nelson of Tucson, Arizona, Janet R. Jones and husband Ed of Lakeland, Florida, Jackie Royals of Nashville, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock PM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery, Lakeland, Georgia. Please visit
