William "Bill" Calvin Moore – 75
Of Lakeland, passed away Friday evening, January 22, 2010 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born April 23, 1934 in Naylor, Georgia to the late Calvin Edward and Nellie Atwell Ford Moore. He retired from the United States Navy as a Petty Officer First Class after 23 years of service to his country. He is an active member of the of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans and a Viet Nam Veteran. He attended First Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia and served his community as a Deputy Sheriff, Police officer, and a school bus driver for many years. He is preceded in death by a wife, Jayne Moore; Great Granddaughter, Tailor Spikes; Great Grandson Keegan Moore; sister, Juanita Burgess Howell, Granddaughter-in-Law Michelle Eastwood Moore, a Niece Juanette Cottingham.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Lakeland, GA with burial to follow Good Hope Cemetery. Mr. Moore will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services.
