Of Lake Park passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2009 in South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on May 18, 1922 to the late William Henry & Jessie Mae Graham Carson. Mr. Carson served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Francis Lake Baptist Church. He was a 3rd degree Mason who served as the Tyler at Alapaha Lodge #209 in Statenville, GA.
Mr. Carson is survived by his Wife, Willie Mae Madison Carson, Lake Park, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-law, James D. & Harriet Carson, Clinton, MS, Dewayne G. & Lila Carson, Lake Park, GA, William C. & Marilyn Carson St. Amant, LA; 5 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; A number of nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the Francis Lake Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS at a later date. The family will receive friends following the services at the church until 8:30 PM.
