William Cox "Bill" Hylton – 92
Of Valdosta passed away May 22, 2011 in Gainesville, FL. Bill was the third son of Gabriel Hylton and Cordie Cox and was born in Lunenburg County, VA on August 18, 1918. He spent all his life in Virginia before retiring to Florida in 1986.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army in the 350th Infantry Regiment in the European Theater, WWII. He was a Master Carpenter who loved gardening, reading and cooking.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Naomi Higdon Hylton mother of his 2 children, and his second wife, Mildred Ladrow. He was also predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his; Son & Daughter-in-law, Donny Juanita, Virginia; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kathy Roger, Florida; Sisters, Molly, Jean & Cordie; Special Friend, Mrs. Frances Dean, Valdosta, GA
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Following visitation a funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private interment will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL.
