William D. Edwards

William D. Edwards – 61 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 21, 1955 in Valdosta, GA to H.B. and Marie (Howell) Edwards, Jr. William practiced law for over 37 years with his family as an attorney at The Edwards Law Firm. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a big supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, his Alma Mater. He was preceded by his parents.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart of 41 years, Ann Williams of Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Alyssa & Travis Pate of Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, William “Will” & Wendy Edwards of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Anna & Mason Pate; Brothers & Sisters-in-Law, H. B. & Pam Edwards, III of Valdosta, John Kent & Vikki Edwards, Sr. of Lake Park, GA; Mother-in-law, Mary Ruth Williams of Valdosta and a number of nieces & nephews.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sunset Hill Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to U.S. Renal Care of Valdosta and caregiver, Joan Simpson for all their love and support.
