Of Valdosta passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 in Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Pittsburg, PA on May 22, 1928 to the late Richard & Marie Dach Ervin. He served in the United States Army for 4 years. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 20 years. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following retirement he worked with the United States Post Office for 16 years.
He is survived by, Daughters & Sons-in-law, Catherine & Andrew Hatez, Perry, GA, Laura & Roy Pitts, Valdosta, GA; Grandson, Stephen Hatez Meredith, Florence, AL; Caretaker, Kathleen Pitts, Valdosta, GA
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a burial will be held in Daytona Beach, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA. 31602 or My Friends House, 1500 North Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA. 31698.
