William Joseph “Joe” Reaves, 79,
Of Valdosta passed away Saturday June 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1, 1937 in Madison, FL to the late Silas Elijah and Louelle (Coppage) Reaves. Mr. Reaves retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of honorable service and he was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Reaves is preceded in death by a Son, David Reaves, and by 2 Brothers, Sammy Reaves (Survived by Joan Reaves), and Jerry Reaves (Survived by Linda Reaves Harris).
Survivors include Wife of 7 years, Patsy “Pat” Reaves of Valdosta, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Tim & Pam Reaves of Hahira, GA, Elan & Traci Reaves Hahira, GA; Stepson, Jason Atchison of Valdosta, GA;
Step-daughters, Talarie & Joel Giddens of Hahira, GA, Sheatiel Carter of Valdosta, GA; Stepsons, Padon & Julie Hurst of Valdosta, GA, Kyle Hurst of Valdosta, GA; Sisters, Sylvia Reaves Sprenkle Amert of Pinetta, FL, Barbara Reaves Smith of Tifton, GA; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Stanley & Sandy Reaves of Hiawassee, GA; Grandchildren, Justin Reaves, Ashley & Chris Gibson, Lacie & Nick Ross, Maegan Kravec, Michael Reaves, Ramsey Kravec, Shadley Hurst, Trevor Hurst, Jacob Hurst, Malayna Giddens, Jacey King, and Cheyenne Herring; Great Grandchildren, David Michael Reaves, Tucker Kravec, Atticus Ross, and
numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Morningside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fellowship Baptist Church in Cecil, GA.
