Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Brooks County, GA on November 4, 1952. Mr. Martin loved anything to do with music; playing, singing and writing songs. He was a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, John Alston Martin.
Survivors include:Sons, John William Martin, Tucker, GA, Steven David Martin, Tucker, GA, Mother, Jane Martin, Tucker, GA, a number of aunts, uncles and cousins
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in the Central Avenue Church of Christ. A private burial will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on June 24, 2009 at the church.
