Of Ray City, GA passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born October 25, 1944 in Hahira, GA to the late Henry & Ruth Joyce Peters. He was a member of the Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Lowndes County. William's loving smile and outgoing personality will be missed by all his family and friends. He was a cattle farmer and will be remembered for his bull, Hammerhead. Mr. Peters, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Ann Peters, by a sister, Lynell Peters and two brothers-in-law, Charles Gibbs and Francis Parker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery in Lowndes County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Donations can be made to the Cat Creek Cemetery Fund.
