Of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on Friday December 4, 2020 in his home after a lengthy illness. William was born on May 27, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Betty Jo (Smith) and Robert Steed. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic most recently with the Valdosta City School System. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his niece, Joanna Steed.
Survivors include his wife, Tina L. Royals-Steed of Lakeland, GA; Children: Kiley Cashwell and husband Jamie of Lakeland, GA, AJ Steed and wife Brittany of Elgin, SC, Brandon Bradford and wife Miranda of Lakeland, GA, Daniel Ethridge and wife Theresa of Hahira, GA; Grandchildren: Landan, Camdan, Brody, Makenna, Chloe, Madison, Audrey and Grace; Brother, Louie Steed and wife Claire of Charleston, SC; Sister, Jane Rogers and husband Phil of LaGrange, GA; Nieces and Nephews: Nanci McClendon (Jimmy), Britt Steed, Molly Talanczuk (Adam); Life time best friend, Cary Lee; Special friends, Dustin, Makenzie, Rhett and Charlie Brewer; Mother-in-law, Wanda Royals of Lakeland, GA; Father-in-law, Donald Royals of Nashville, GA; Brothers-in-law, Steven Royals of Lakeland, GA, Chris Royals and wife Becky of Lake Park, GA, Eddie Guess and wife, Blakely of Norman Park, GA.
