Chief MSgt. (Retired) William Lynn Usic, 79, of Valdosta passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 1, 1942 in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania to the late Janet Lucille Longacre and Joseph Frank Usic. He retired from the United States Air Force after 28 years of service achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was an avid golfer having scored two hole-in-ones at the MAFB Golf course and was an avid bowler winning several season championships. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife Ingeborg Schreiter Usic of Valdosta, Georgia; two sons, Thomas Usic and Michael Usic (Sheryl) of Valdosta, Georgia; granddaughter Britney (Cole) Stiffler of Hahira; grandsons, Michael Usic, Jr and Logan Usic, of Lake Park, Georgia, Alex Usic of Valdosta; great grandson Tatum Stiffler of Hahira, Georgia; and sister Nancy Usic of Norwalk, Connecticut.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 O’clock P.M., Thursday, January 13,2022, at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until service time. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at
