William “Billy” Waugh Wrye – 78
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on December 4, 1940 in Nashville, GA to James and Myrtice (Davis) Wrye Stith. He worked as a supervisor with GTE. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Reavis Wrye, and by two of his Sisters, Joyce Scott and Jimmie Rogers.
Survivors include his Wife of 55 years, Latrelle Wrye; Daughter and Son-in-law, Jane (James) Sirmans; Daughter, Jan Howard; Daughter and Son-in-law, Julie (Stacey) Hodges; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jamie (Misty) Wrye; Grandchildren, Jessica (Clint) Mullis, Jenna (Chris) Bolling, Ansley (Chad) Grogan, Morgan Howard, Jordan Haskins, Nicholas Hodges, Dylan Haskins, Nathan Wrye, Nick Wrye, Abby Hodges; Great Grandchildren, Garrett Mullis, Hayden Mullis, Jaxson Bolling, Hudson Bolling; Sister, Sharon Lambert.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Stockton Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Langdale Hospice House, 2263 Pineview Dr, Valdosta, GA 31602.
