Willie Ernest Knight, Jr

Willie Ernest Knight, Jr., age 82, of Valdosta, GA, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at his home. He was born on February 19, 1943, in Valdosta, GA, to the late Willie Ernest and Gladys Lucille (Kirkland) Knight, Sr. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He worked at Owens-Illinois as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for many years. He loved to work with his hands on engines of all kinds. He enjoyed the peace and quiet of fishing most of all.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Karrie Knight, his brother Gary Knight, and his sisters Angie Jones, Joed Dussling, and Latrelle Rowland.

He is survived by his son, Koby Knight (Tricia) of Haslet, TX; his daughter, Kristal Bedene (Paul) of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren: Karaline Knight, Kassidy Knight, Devon Knight and Seth Bedene; siblings: Perry Knight (Sheila) of Valdosta, GA, Patricia Fender of Valdosta, GA and Maria Olson of Omaha, Nebraska; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Empire Cemetery, Lakeland, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the funeral home.
