Willie "Sonny" Seymore Coody – 88
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Crestwood Nursing Home. He was born on June 2, 1927 in Valdosta, GA to the late B. M. and Jimmie Lee Tomblin Coody. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Azalea City Church of God. Mr. Coody worked as a contractor and in the church maintenance department. Sonny loved to hang out at "The Gold Plate" with all his buddies. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Norma Coody, his daughter, Wanda Faye Coody Pittman, grandchildren, David Broniman and Stephanie Dianne Herring.
Survivors include his Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Mary K. Coody Setlock of MI, Belinda L. Brogdon of Valdosta, GA, Dianne Coody HerringDonald of Valdosta, GA, Son & Daughter-in-Law, Willie Steven CoodyLisa of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Tina Broniman, Troy BronimanLorrie, Michael Broniman, Rodney Phelps, Angela McDaniel, Donna Carter, Glenn Gay, Christina Brogdon, Monica RileyTravis, Amy H. Miller, Dana Corbitt, Stevie Nicole English, Ivy Savannah Coody; Several Great Grandchildren;
Sister, Jimmie Lee Bell of Milledgeville, GA; Brother, Talmadge Reece Coody of Quitman, GA;
And a number of nieces, nephews, & extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
