Yvonne Lota Foy

Yvonne Lota Foy – 76, Of Valdosta passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in the South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 21, 1942 in Santa Fe, FL to the late Spence & Lota (Blair) Polk. She was a respiratory therapist at South Georgia Medical Center. She was very passionate about her job and especially taking care of her patients. Yvonne was a loving wife for over 55 years who meet her husband at the soda fountain in Alachua, FL. She was also a loving mother & grandmother who was very proud of each and every one of her grandchildren. Everyone enjoyed her cooking, especially around Christmas when she baked her pies, cakes and candies. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers: Zenas Polk & Eugene Polk.
Survivors include: Husband of over 55 years: Permon “Sonny” Foy, Jr., Valdosta; Daughter: Barbara F. Adams, Valdosta; Son: Chris S. Foy, Valdosta; 5 Grandchildren: Keith M. Adams, Kyle D. Adams, Blake J. Adams, Justice E. Foy & Kierstin P. Foy and special niece: Karen Gerding, Alachua, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2019 in the Bemiss Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday evening, June 27, 2019 at the funeral home. As per her wishes she will be cremated following the services.
