Of Valdosta passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 9, 1934 to Arthur L. Atwood and Esteria F. Atwood of Lakeville, Massachusetts. She was a member of New Covenant Church and dearly loved her church family. She loved walking in the mall with her friends. She retired from Moody Air Force Base Hospital where she was a Registered Nurse. She served in the United States Air Force for 2 years and met and married the love of her life, J.B. Richardson, while they both served in the United States Air Force. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Richardson and two brothers.
She is survived by her, Daughter, Diane Richardson Hall, Valdosta, GA; Son, Charles E. RichardsonBrenda, Perry, GA; Grandchildren, Lance Hall Jennifer, Arron Hall Heather, Cheryl Gregory Danny; Sister, Hope LaPointe; Brother, Hubert Atwood Lois
Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at New Covenant Church with Pastor Jeff Williams and Pastor Randy Stephen officiating. Burial will follow in Fender Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the funeral home at Valdosta.
